How to Do Capillary Blood Glucose Monitoring
Diabetic glucose monitoring can be done a variety of ways, but by far the most common method for measuring glucose on a daily basis is capillary blood glucose monitoring. By making a small puncture in the skin and testing a drop of blood using a meter, diabetics can control their disease process with diet and medications. Some meters allow for testing on the arm, but finger-sticks are still pretty standard.

Wash your hands thoroughly before beginning your capillary blood glucose check.

Ready your meter according to on-screen instructions or owner's manual (every meter is slightly different).
3.Insert the test strip so that the collection field is pointing up and away from the meter.

Swab your finger tip (or arm if your meter allows) with alcohol and allow to dry or dry with gauze.

Firmly place the lancet pen (or mechanism) against the area to be tested and depress the button. If you prefer to use a lancet without an assistance device, hold the lancet approximately two inches from the finger tip surface and quickly poke into the skin surface.

Wipe off the initial blood drop.

Squeeze the area, starting away from the puncture and moving inward to aid in obtaining blood sample.

Place drop onto testing strip or place end of testing strip into the drop of blood (see your owner's manual for best option)

Check for sample acceptance and allow time for the machine to work. Apply firm pressure to puncture with an alcohol wipe, gauze or a bandage while you wait.

Record your glucose level and follow your physician's guidelines pertaining to necessary actions for low or high glucose levels.
Tips & Warnings
Always warm the hands prior to performing capillary blood glucose monitoring to help obtain an appropriate sample. On finger tips, the best place to test is generally off to the side of the pad of the finger. Avoid touching test strip to your skin or other objects as this can alter test results. Follow your meter's guidelines for control checks and always use recommended equipment. Some meters contain testing strips in a drum and do not require loading for each test.
If your glucose level is lower than 70mg/dl, follow your physician's guidelines. If you do not have the guidelines available, drink 4 oz of juice and re-check glucose level in 15 minutes. Always call emergency services if loss of consciousness or a feeling of imminent loss of consciousness occurs.

To receive a strong satellite signal, your receiver must be adjusted for optimal signal strength. Loosen the bolts on the your satellite receiver to adjust the dish up and down to achieve the proper elevation. Tighten the bolts when you are completely satisfied with your elevation.

A digital receiver is used to accept scrambled television programming from a cable or satellite receiver. HD DVD players are connected to a surround sound receiver via cables capable of transferring the audio and video signals from the DVD player to the receiver. The quality of the picture and sound depends on a few different factors. The quality of the HD DVD player combined with the use of an HD DVD will determine one part of the overall quality. However, the quality of the cables used to connect the player to the receiver and the receiver to the TV and speakers also plays a crucial role in maximizing the user experience.

Determine the types of connections supported by the HD DVD player and the surround sound receiver. HD signals require special ports. HDMI should be used, if available, but DVI and component video ports are also capable of passing an HD signal from the player to the receiver.

Verify that the HD DVD player sends an HD signal to all of its output ports. This information is usually found in the manual. Some devices feature component outputs, but only send a true HD signal to their HDMI or DVI ports.
3.Select the proper cables for the connection according to the types of ports available. Component video ports require the color-coded cables with the three separate video channels. DVI and HDMI ports only require one cable for the video output. However, both component and DVI setups will also require audio cables to send the audio from the player to the receiver.

Attach the necessary cables to the corresponding ports on the HD DVD player and the surround sound receiver. Do not use audio cables if HDMI cables are being used.

Turn on the TV, HD DVD player and the surround sound receiver. Select the proper inputs on the TV and receiver.

Place an HD DVD into the HD DVD player and play the disc to verify that the cables were connected properly.

How to Use a Signal Meter on a Dish 500 for Dreambox
A satellite dish must be properly aimed at the satellite that is providing it with a signal. To aim a Dish Network Dish 500 properly, use a satellite meter. The signal meter, which can be purchased from a satellite supply or electronics store, provides a visual indication of the signal strength being received by the dish. The procedure involves partial disassembly of the dish, but is not complicated and does not require any expertise in electronics.
Instructions

Remove the battery compartment lid on the back of the signal meter. Insert a fresh battery into the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment lid.

Position the signal meter against the side of the bracket holding the Dish 500 so that the needle meter panel is facing you. Tape the signal meter to the side of the bracket with duct tape

Screw one end of the three-foot coaxial cable into the coax output on the signal meter. Screw the other end of the coaxial cable into one of the coax inputs on the multidish switch.

Turn the signal meter on. Loosen the two knobs on the side of the bracket. Raise and lower the dish from the bracket while watching the meter on the signal meter. Stop moving the dish when the needle reaches its high point on the scale pasted inside the panel. Tighten the knobs on the side of the bracket so that they are "finger-tight."

Unscrew the coax cable connected to the signal meter and replace it with another coaxial cable that was connected to the multidish switch. Watch the needle as you move the dish, stopping when the needle has reached its zenith. Repeat this procedure with all of the rest of the coaxial cables that were attached to the multidish switch. Tighten the knobs when you are done.

Unscrew the coaxial cables connected to the signal meter. Unscrew the coaxial cable from the coax input on the multidish switch. Screw the coaxial cables that were removed from the coax inputs on the multidish switch back in.
8
Turn the signal meter off. Remove the duct tape from the signal meter and the bracket.

How To Stream Satellite TV Media Contents From Dreambox Decoder To computer
Dreambox decoder is a Linux based satellite receiver that has been widely used to receive both free and encrypted satellite channels from the sky. As you may normally just hook it up to your TV to view the decoded channels on your large TV screen, have you ever wonder that it can also be connected to multiple PCs in your LAN network for viewing on PC screen? With its built in Ethernet controller that can be used for card sharing, it also simplifies connectivity between PC for this purpose. If you interested to figure out more, here are some simple steps that you can try to set them up using VLC player utility.
In order to achieve this, please follow below steps:
1.Connect both PC (with VLC player installed) and Dreambox using Ethernet cable to your switch or hub.<
2.On the Dreambox remote control, go to Menu -> Setup -> Expert Setup -> Communication Setup and read the IP address of the Dreambox. The IP address will be used on next step.
3.On the PC screen, launch Internet Explorer and key in the IP address in the address field. For instance: Type http://192.168.1.5 (following IP address shown in Step ii).
4.Once prompted by password, enter ‘Root’ as User Name and ‘Dreambox’ as Password to access the Dreambox.
5.At the main page, look for vpid (as circled in RED) and click on the number on its right (ex: 0x4ec).
6.Then, a pop up window will appear asking you if to open or save this file. Click Save (with the default name of “video.m3u”) to any of your local directory that you will need to locate it to open later.
7.Once done, click on the file that you saved earlier (in step vi.) and it will launch the VLC player ready with the media contents to be streamed directly from your Dreambox decoder.
Definitely, this looks much more impressive than when you try to capture or snapshot TV images on PC using Dreambox decoder since you can see smooth and live media contents streaming without lagging even wirelessly (but also depending on your network stability) on multiple PC with just few simple stepscheap wholesale from China
