Formatting a flash drive allows you to write data to the device. Unfortunately, formatting a flash drive will render any pre-existing data on the drive inaccessible. If you've recently formatted a flash drive, but realize you need the data that was previously on it, it may be possible to unformat the drive. This is because formatting a drive does not actually erase the data, only the address locations of the data. A data recovery program, such as EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard, DiskGetor Data Recovery or Jufsoft BadCopy Pro, can help you get that data back. Time is of the essence, however, because as the old data is overwritten the chances of recovery become much smaller. Instructions EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard 1 Download and install EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard from easeus.com. EASEUS offers a free version that can recover 1 GB of data. The full featured version, selling for $70 as of 2010, will allow you to recover the complete flash drive. 2 Insert your USB flash drive into an open USB port on your computer. Wait for your computer to recognize the drive before proceeding. Open EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard. Select "Complete Recovery" from the welcome screen. 4 Choose you flash drive from the list available drives on the next screen. Click "Next" to begin unformatting your drive. Depending on the size of your flash drive, the process may take awhile, so leave your computer alone while the program is working. Once complete, you will have access to your old data. How to Transfer Music From a Flash Drive to an MP3 Player

USB-enabled flash drives provide convenient, space-efficient transport for your MP3 files. Transferring MP3 files from the flash drive to a music player can be as simple as dragging and dropping them from one device icon to the other, provided both devices can connect to your computer simultaneously. Instructions 1 Insert the USB-enabled flash drive into a USB port on your computer. Wait for your computer to recognize the flash drive as an attached device. The device icon will show up in your computer's file manager as "My Computer" for Windows or "Finder" for Mac. 2 Connect the USB-enabled MP3 player to another USB port on your computer. Use the MP3 player's USB connector cable if necessary. Wait for your computer to recognize the MP3 player as an attached device. Otherwise, skip this step and copy the music from your flash drive directly onto your computer's hard drive until you can connect the MP3 player to your lone USB port. 3.Double-click the flash drive device icon to open its file folder window. 4 Double-click the MP3 player to open its file folder window. 5 Drag and drop the music files from the flash drive's file folder window to the MP3 player's file folder window. I'm assuming that you would be an intermediate to experienced cell phone user for purposes of the "informational - only" how to.

First things first, pair your headset to the phone.

If you need to buy a head set, try ebay.com, amazon.com or google search. I would not recommend an expensive headset or phone in case you lose them.

2.Go to the settings menu, then call settings, and finally, headset settings. Your menu might be different, but you essentially want to enable "auto answer" on your handset.



When you call your phone when auto answer is on, then the cell phone picks up the line automatically without ringing or vibing, presumably, so that you wouldn't have to fumble around for the cell phone while it's ringing.

3.Place your cell phone in a discreet place somewhere in the room, or in the next room over. Place the headset discreetly near the source that you wish to hear, but less than 30 feet from the cell phone as that is the limitation of the range in bluetooth devices.

Now call your cell phone from anywhere in the world to listen in to the bluetooth headset!
Tips & Warnings
Best to use a cheap prepaid cell phone and inexpensive "ebay" headset. Nothing that you would be devastated to lose!

Also you should be aware that eavesdropping IS illegal, and this tutorial is for experimentation purposes ONLY and all parties have previously consented to the above experiment!

You will only have access to the remote cell phone as long as the battery in the phone and headset hold out!

Take the plastic cover off a 3-in-1 digital camera, but leave the lens in place. If the lens is held in place by the cover, save part of the case to position the lens at the proper length, and keep light out of the camera with a piece of aluminum foil. Disconnect the shutter button to expose the connection.

Strip both sides of two 4-foot sections of 30-gauge magnet wire. Solder one wire to each contact on the button.



Cut a hole in the baseball cap in an inconspicuous location like a seam or within the graphics. Make the hole big enough for the camera lens. Use a layer of hot glue to hold the hole open.

Glue the camera in place behind the hole with the hot glue gun. Make sure that the camera is right side up.

Run the wires from the shutter button around the inside of the hat band. Secure the wires in place with the hot glue gun. The wire will hang out the back of the hat. Use a Sharpie to color the wire so it blends with your hair.

Solder the far ends of the wires to a pressure switch.

Cover all electrical connections with dabs of hot glue. Test the camera.


Tips & Warnings
Purchase the pressure switch through a company that provides accessories for handicap people with accessibility issues. Position the pressure switch in your pocket or up your sleeve. Tape the extra wire out of sight.

How to Test an Armature Briggs & Stratton

Briggs & Stratton produce a range of engines for generators and power washers but most commonly for lawn mowers. Its modern engines contain solid-state ignition armatures that are mounted adjacent to the flywheel. If you suspect there is a problem with your armature, the electromagnetic device that produces the spark required to start your Briggs & Stratton combustion engine, you should test it before attempting to replace it. There are a number of issues that might be causing your motor not to start

Instructions

        1

        Disconnect the spark plug cable.
        2

        Remove any debris from around the spark plug and wipe the surrounding area with a small amount of alcohol rub on a cloth. This will ensure that nothing gets into the combustion chamber when the spark plug is removed.

Lower the spark plug socket over the spark plug and rotate in a counterclockwise motion to remove it. Clean the spark plug using the wire brush and the spray-on cleaner. Use the knife to remove any deposits in the spark plug housing.

Replace the spark plug, taking care not to over-tighten, and reattach the spark plug lead.

Connect the spark plug lead to the long terminal of the tester and use the tester's alligator clip to ground to the engine. The alligator clip should be connected to one of the bolts on the engine itself.

Start the engine using the rewind or electric starter and look for a spark in the window of the tester. The absence of a visible spark indicates a problem with the ignition armature. If there is a problem with your motor's armature, you should contact your local Briggs & Stratton authorized dealer to find a replacement for your model. An ignition armature must be set at a precise distance from the flywheel to work properly.


Tips & Warnings

    Make sure that your motor is turned off and that you have disconnected the spark plug cable before attempting to carry out any tests on your motor.

Drug testing is common for many employers

The history of drug testing in contemporary times dates from a military accident in 1981 that killed fourteen soldiers, many of whom showed traces of drugs in their bloodstream. Twenty-five years later, more than 90 percent of all companies employing more than 500 people imposed at least one form of drug screening program. There are good economic reasons for this: drug abuse has been demonstrated to be a significant factor in workplace accidents, absenteeism and low productivity. On the other hand, drug abuse prevention programs have been shown to be more effective than drug screening, at least for larger companies.

USS Nimitz

    In May of 1981, a plane crashed on the aircraft carrier the USS Nimitz, killing fourteen and injuring forty-five. A forensic analysis indicated that several of the key figures involved in the accident had traces of THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) in their bloodstream. President Ronald Regan declared a new zero tolerance policy to enforce drug prohibitions in the U.S. military. As a result, illicit drug use in the military dropped from 30 percent to 5 percent within eight years.

Drug Testing for Federal Employees

    President Reagan expanded this policy in the form of Executive Order 12564 - Drug-Free Federal Workplace (September 15, 1986), which required all executive agencies of the federal government to establish drug testing programs. The policy was updated in 2004, to deal with challenges to testing by employees and other matters.

Chase, Maryland Train Crash

    No similar legislation was mandated for employees in the private sector, but drug testing became commonplace nevertheless, especially after a 1987 train crash in Maryland that killed 16. The crash was caused by the failure of one of the train crews to obey signals to slow down at a designated point--these crew members were later found to have traces of marijuana in their bloodstream, and served several years in prison for their role in the fatal crash.

Test Types

    Drug testing includes a number of potential tests, involving urine, saliva, sweat, blood and hair. Some firms employ pre-employment screening, followed by random drug tests after employment begins. The ethical challenges of pre-employment testing are less severe than those of random testing for current employees, with the exception of certain professions involving public safety--school bus drivers, for example.

Prevention/Solution

    Despite the popularity of drug screening, there may be more economic benefit for larger firms to establish EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs) that allow employees access to free, confidential counselling for substance abuse issues. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, 80 percent of employees participating in an EAP program at ChevronTexaco between 1990 and 1996 were able to retain their jobs. Considering that the average cost of replacing an employee ranges from 25 percent to 200 percent of annual salary, this represents a significant economic incentive for large companies to establish EAPs

    Types of Accu-Chek Meters

        Your doctor writes you a prescription for a glucose meter and for test strips. You discover that there are a number of meters on the market. Some are mini-meters that fit into your pocketbook, and some are all-in-one meters with attached lancet devices and preloaded test strips. The decisions are difficult, but if you choose the Accu-Chek brand, you narrow your choice to seven meters: the Accu-Chek Compact Plus, the Accu-Check Compact, the Accu-Chek Active, the Accu-Chek Aviva, the Accu-Chek Advantage, the Accu-Chek Complete, and the Accu-Chek Voicemate. Even though each one is different, the process of using the meters is similar.
    Prepping to Use the Meter

        Regardless of which Accu-Chek meter you choose, prepping to use the meter is the same. Wash your hands with soap and water. Choose a finger for a blood sample. Swab the finger with an alcohol pad and let dry. Massage the finger. If you are using the Accu-Chek Compact Plus, you can either remove the lancet or leave it on the meter. All the lancet devices for Accu-Chek come with 11 settings. The lower you adjust the setting number, the less depth of the needle. Most people adjust the setting to three or four. Press the plunger to activate the lancet device. Hold the lancet device against the skin. Press and release the plunger. The lancet will prick the skin. Massage the area to form a blood droplet for testing.
    Using the Meter

        If you are using the Accu-Chek Compact Plus or Compact, you need to insert the preloaded test drum. Turn off the meter and open the drum door. Press the red down-release button. Insert the new drum and snap the lid shut. The meter turns on. Push the test button and a strip will come out. Hold the meter against the blood droplet so the black notch can fill. If you have the meter set to beep, it will beep when enough blood is drawn into the test strip. The meter reading is available in five seconds.

        All other Accu-Chek meters are for single-loaded test strips. The strips are different for some meters, but the process is the same. Insert the strip into the meter. This turns the meter on. When the display shows a flashing droplet of blood, place the strip against the blood. The Accu-Chek Active meter strip has an orange dot into which the blood must enter. The Accu-Chek Aviva meter has a wide-mouth strip that draws blood from the tip of the strip. The Accu-Chek Advantage meter and the Accu-Chek Complete meter have a curved strip into which the blood enters. Wait five seconds and the results are displayed. When you take out the strip, the meter turns off.

        The Accu-Chek Voicemate is a single strip application. Insert the strip. Press the finger against the strip. When the blood is drawn onto the strip, the meter will say the results to you. The Accu-Chek Voicemate is for blind or visually impaired people.
