About Pulsed Infrared Light Therapy at Home
Pulsed infrared light therapy is a type of medical treatment you can administer at home. It goes by several names, including LED therapy, phototherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT) and intense pulsed light therapy (IPL). Pulsed infrared light therapy uses a laser to stimulate blood circulation in the target area.
Function
Pulsed infrared light therapy uses light-emitting diodes to penetrate the skin and trigger the activation of nitric oxide, a free radical in the body that promotes increased blood circulation. Because of the improved circulation of blood in the targeted area, pulsed infrared light therapy can treat aches and pains in muscles and joints, fibromyalgia, inflammation, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel, diabetic ulcers, sinusitis, depression, skin problems and tennis elbow. It can also reduce scar tissue and promote the regeneration of cells.
Home-Care
You can treat yourself with pulsed infrared light therapy at home by buying LED pads. You should place the LED-side of the pad directly onto the skin of the area you would like to treat. You can also buy infrared light therapy devices in the form of something that looks like a flashlight, an infrared bed for the whole body and an infrared light helmet for the head.
Cosmetic Treatment
Pulsed infrared light therapy also has cosmetic uses, particularly as treatment for acne and as an anti-aging method. It is helpful against acne because it might fight bacteria. As for anti-aging, light therapy promotes collagen production, which is what makes skin look youthful.
Other Uses
You can also use pulsed infrared light therapy at home to treat seasonal affective disorder by exposing yourself to full-spectrum light. You can use it to treat chronic headaches as well. Additionally, pulsed infrared light therapy is helpful for treating your pets' aches and pains.
Warning
You should not use pulsed infrared light therapy if you are pregnant because there is no study as of yet on the effects of this therapy on pregnant women.

How to Tell If a TV Is LED
How to Tell If a TV Is LED
LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are increasingly used to provide backlighting for LCD televisions. While marketed as a new type of television screen, LED TVs are not actual LED screens but the same LCD screens as most modern televisions using a different type of illumination. Using LEDs behind the screen or at the edges uses less power than fluorescent lights and also provides deeper dark colors, as light doesn't leak out of the LEDs. As a selling point, a television's use of LED is typically displayed on the screen.
Instructions
1
Know the year of production, or purchase, of the television. LED televisions first started entering the home electronics market in 2005, so if the television was manufactured before then, it is not an LED TV.
2
Check the front of the television for a sticker that indicates if it has an LED display. LED backlighting is a major selling point for many electronics manufacturers, so that fact is typically displayed on the front of a new television.
3
Locate the model number on the back of the television. Typically, this is found on a sticker with the manufacturer's name, make and model number and other information. Use this information to research the television and determine whether it uses LED backlighting.

How to Build a 4 LED Slow Blinking Circuit
How to Build a 4 LED Slow Blinking Circuit
You can use the 555 timer integrated circuit (IC) to build a variety of light-emitting diode (LED) blinking circuits. The 555 can drive LEDs directly and needs only a few extra parts. One such circuit, sometimes called the "railroad flasher," alternately turns two LEDs on and off. Two of these circuits will give you a total of four slowly blinking LEDs. The components used are very inexpensive, and you can build these circuits in under an hour with little difficulty.
Instructions
1
Insert the two 555 ICs into the breadboard so they straddle the horizontal slot in the plastic board. Orient the ICs so the dot or key slot on one end faces to your left. Space the ICs about 2 inches apart. Take care to not bend the pins out or under the ICs.
2
Insert one 10-microfarad capacitor so its positive lead connects to the first IC's pin 2 and its other lead connects to pin 1. Insert a jumper wire to connect pin 2 to pin 6. Insert one lead of a 47K ohm resistor so it connects to pin 6 of the IC. Insert its other lead so it connects to pin 3. Insert a jumper wire to connect pin 8 and pin 4 together.
3.Examine the LEDs and note that the round case has a flat spot. The lead nearer to the flat spot is the LED's cathode. Insert the cathode lead of one LED so it connects to pin 1 of the IC. Insert the other lead, the anode, into an unused column on the breadboard. Insert one lead of a 220-ohm resistor into this column. Insert the resistor's other lead so it connects to the IC's pin 3. Insert another 220-ohm resistor so one lead connects to pin 3. Insert its other lead into an unused column. Insert the cathode of another LED into this column. Insert its anode lead so it connects to pin 4.
4
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the second 555 timer.
5
Insert the red (positive) lead coming from the 9-volt battery clip so it connects to pin 8 of the first IC. Insert a jumper wire so it connects pin 8 of both ICs together. Insert the black (negative) lead coming from the 9-volt battery clip so it connects to pin 1 of the second IC. Insert a jumper wire so it connects pin 1 of both ICs together.
6
Double-check all your connections. Clip a fresh 9-volt battery into the clip. The four LEDs should begin blinking.

How to Replace a LED Stereo Receiver
How to Replace a LED Stereo Receiver
Car stereo systems are evolving to also play back DVD videos through an attached LED monitor. The monitor displays the video, shows off the current audio track and may also have a built-in GPS function. If you are looking to change your current LED stereo receiver, you can do so with just a few household tools. And because the new LED stereo monitor receiver is going to have the same connection points, you shouldn't have too much trouble setting up the equipment.
Instructions
1
Turn off the vehicle and remove the key from the ignition. You don't want the car running when dealing with electrical wires connected to the battery.
2
Remove the dash area around the current LED stereo receiver. Most dashboards are attached without screws and pull off with some prying. Check your owner's manual for complete instructions.
Slide out the LED stereo receiver and disconnect the wire cable running into its back. Once the receiver is free of the cable you can completely pull the receiver out of the vehicle.
4
Plug the wire cable into the connection port on the back of the new LED stereo receiver. If the receiver is the same brand, you can just slide it back into the vehicle. If it is a new brand, you will need a sleeve adapter to ensure it fits into the available slot. The receiver slides into the adapter and two Phillips screws attach into the rear of the sleeve to tighten it to the receiver.
5
Push the new LED stereo receiver into the open slot, then place the dash back into position to secure the LED stereo receiver into place.

How to Add GameCube LEDs
How to Add GameCube LEDs
The GameCube gaming console was released in November 2001, before the
LED light trend hit gaming enthusiasts, so a new trend of making old
consoles such as the GameCube modern with LED lights is becoming more
and more popular. The most popular modification of the GameCube hardware involves adding LED lights to the controllers, since they are easier to obtain than a new console if you mess up and damage some interior elements.
Instructions
1
Remove the six screws from the back of the clear GameCube controller with the Gamebit screwdriver. Set aside the screws. Pull the controller's front and back faceplates away from one another; if they are not extremely dirty, they will pull apart with minimal effort. Set aside the back face plate with the screws and lay the front faceplate carefully so that the interior components are facing up towards you.
2
Prepare about two 4-inch lengths of the 24-gauge electric wire for soldering to the two leads located on the right side of the controller. The existing white wire is positive, while the black is negative.
3.Place your LED lights where you want them to sit inside your controller. Before making any positions permanent, place the back side of the controller in its place without securing it entirely, so you can ensure that you like how it looks. It is recommended to place the LEDs on both sides of the rumble pack.
4
Solder the end of the first wire to the left lead on the circuit board, and the end of the second wire to the lead on the right. These leads are connected to the rumble pack feature, so the LEDs will blink in accordance with the controller's vibration.
5
Grasp the wire on the left in your hand, and attach it to the left LED light by wrapping the center of the wire around the LED's prongs, and attaching the remainder of the wire to the resistor. Use the electrical tape to attach the resistor directly under the rumble pack. Repeat this step to connect the LED on the right side of the
controller.
6
Wrap all wires with electrical tape, and secure them to the body of the controller if there is excess wire. You do not want wire being in the way of any buttons, or the rumble pack.
Tips & Warnings
Only attempt this modification if you have some sort of previous electric experience to avoid permanent damage to the GameCube's hardware. Scratching or soldering your circuit board at all can eradicate the entire controller.
Always discharge static on your hands while working with computer components by touching base metal.

How to Build an LED Flex Light
How to Build an LED Flex Light
Light-emitting diode flex lighting provides an impressive display of lights that are energy-efficient and long-lasting, but they can be expensive. If you want to get the effect of LED strip lights but don't want to pay store prices, then build your own. The light is fun to make and you will gain the pleasure of telling your friends and family members that you did it yourself.
Instructions
1
Measure the distance of the place where you want to put your LED flex lights. Add a couple of extra feet so that the lights don't have to go in a straight line.
2
Cut the clear flexible hollow tube the length you calculated with a sharp knife. Cut a strip of wire with a knife the same length as the tube you just cut, but add an extra few feet to allow for the wires to connect to the power source. For example, if the LED flex lighting tube is 6 feet and the distance from each end of the tube to the power source is 6 feet, you need to cut a strip of wire 18 feet long.
Cut the strip of wire into smaller strips. Cut two strips of wire the distance you measured from the power source to where the LED flex light tube begins. Using the previous example, cut two strips of wire 6 foot long. This leaves you with the strip of wire that goes inside the tube. Put the other two strips of wire to one side and keep the wire strip that goes inside the tube.
4
Work out the number of LED lights you want to wire in the tube; the more you use, the better the lighting effect will be. Make a note of the number of LEDs on a sheet of paper. Cut the wire strip that will go inside the tube into equal, short strips. The number of strips depends on the number of LED lights, but is always two less than the number of lights. For example, if you are wiring 20 LED lights, you will need 18 equal, short strips.
5
Remove just under ? inch of outer plastic off of the ends of every strip of wire with wire strippers. This includes the two long wires you earlier put to one side.
6
Insert the LED light bulbs into the bulb holders if they are not already fitted. Gently push them into the holder with your fingers. Read the side of an LED bulb to determine the voltage and make a note of it on a sheet of paper.
7
Attach the end of one of the two long wire strips to the first LED light holder terminal. LED light holders use two small terminal clips. Press the clip with your fingers and insert the wire in the opening. Release the clip so that it holds the wire in place.
8
Attach the end of a short wire strip to the other terminal clip on the first light holder. Attach the opposite end to the next LED light holder. Repeat the process by attaching the short strips to the LED light holder terminals, sequentially using the same method as before until you attach the last short strip of wire to the terminal of the last light holder. Attach the end of the other long wire strip to the remaining terminal on the last light holder.
9
Attach the end of one of the long strips of wire to a thin wooden pole that is longer and thinner than the flexible plastic tube; a pole that is used to hold the stems of plants is a good choice. Use a strip of plastic tape to hold the wire on the end of the pole.
10
Push the pole and the wire into the end of the clear plastic tube until it comes out the other end. Do this carefully, as you do not want the light connection to break. Pull the pole and wire out of the end of the tube until just before the first LED light gets to the end of the tube. All the LED lights are now in the tube and you have two long wires extending from each end of the tube. These wires will connect to your power source.
11
Multiply the voltage from each LED light by the number of LED bulbs in the tube. LEDs usually require between 1.5 and 3.5 volts. The answer you calculate equates to the voltage you will need your power source to supply.
12
Use a battery or transformer that produces the same voltage you just calculated. Do not use a power source that produces more voltage that you calculated; otherwise, you will blow the LEDs. Using a power source that produces slightly less volts is fine, but it means your lights will not glow as brightly.
13
Attach the end of one of the long strips of wire from the tube to one of the terminals on the power source; it doesn't matter which terminal. Attach the other long wire strip from the other end of the tube to the other terminal on the power source. Your LED flex lights should illuminate.

How to Make Your Own Screw-in LED Light Bulb
How to Make Your Own Screw-in LED Light Bulb
Making your own screw-in LED light bulb is a great way to save money and to go green. An LED is a light emitting diode, and some companies offer regular screw-in bulbs with the incandescent part replaced with LEDs. This helps save money because LEDs use less power and last longer than regular incandescent bulbs. Another added benefit is that LEDs generate close to no heat so less air conditioning is needed to deal with the heat given off by regular light bulbs.
Instructions
1
Place the screw-in light bulb plug down in front of you. Unscrew the plastic replica bulb off of the socket and place it to the side. You are going to use it in another step, so do not lose it. Place down 10 LEDs in a line in front of you. Twist a wire lead from the first LED to a wire lead from the second LED. Twist the free wire lead on the second LED to a wire lead on the third LED. Repeat this twisting process until only the first and last LED have a free wire lead.
2
Twist the free wire lead from the first LED into the positive electrical post on the top of the screw bulb plug. Take the free wire lead from the 10th LED and twist it onto the negative electrical post. The posts have a plus and a minus symbol next to them to denote their polarity.
Wrap all the exposed wire leads in electrical tape, but do not wrap them together. Wrap the wires separately to keep them from shorting the circuit. You are making a simple series circuit, and shorts will break the entire circuit. Do not cover the light emitting parts of the LEDs with tape or it will cut down on the light given off.
4
Push the LEDs into the plastic bulb and then re-screw it to the screw-in plug. Screw the plug into a light socket (with the socket off) and then turn the light on. If the light does not come on, then one of the connections was not twisted properly and came lose. Take the bulb apart and re-twist all the connections to be sure.

How to Make a USB Flash Drive Bootable With Ubuntu
How to Make a USB Flash Drive Bootable With Ubuntu Ubuntu is a flexible, free and highly functional Linux-based operating system that provides a viable alternative to Windows. In many cases, though, it is handy to maintain Windows or Mac OS X as the primary operating system on a computer while using a bootable Ubuntu flash drive to run a portable version of Ubuntu. This portable operating system is stored entirely on a single flash drive along with your important programs, settings and files, allowing you to move your entire work environment to any computer that supports booting from a USB flash drive. In addition to improving productivity and preventing compatibility issues, this also improves safety, reducing the possibility of having important information stolen or having your files infected with viruses while you are on a public computer. Instructions 1 Boot into Ubuntu. If Ubuntu is not already installed on your system, download and burn an install disc (see Resources), restart your computer with the disk in the drive, and select Live CD mode from Ubuntu's boot menu. 2 Launch the "Startup Disk Creator" utility by selecting "System" > "Administration" > "Create a USB startup disk" or "System" > "Administration" > "Startup Disk Creator." 3.In the "Source disc image or CD area," select the disc or image of Ubuntu that you would like installed on your bootable flash drive. If you are using a disc, place it in one of your computer's disc drives and select it in the window. If you are using a disc image, click the "Other..." button and browse for the image on your local hard drive or network. 4 Connect your flash drive to the computer and highlight it in the "USB disk to use" list. 5 Select the "Stored in reserve space" radio button and drag the slider to select how much space should be reserved on the flash drive for persistent files if you would like your bootable Ubuntu to store persistent data (such as system settings and files) on the flash drive. If you would like your bootable Ubuntu to discard all files and settings each time it is shut down, select the "Discarded on shutdown" radio button. 6 Click the "Make Startup Disk" button and wait while your flash drive is formatted to boot Ubuntu. Tips & Warnings Back up the data on your flash drive before performing this procedure because this information may be erased. usb flash drive china cheap usb flash driveusb flash diskwholesale usb flash drivecheap usb flash driveusb flash drive factoryusb flash drive manufacturermanufacturer usb flash drive usb flash memoryusb flash memory for iphonechina usb drivepower bank wholesalesmart phone power bank wholesale

How to Repair a U3 Flash Drive
U3 Smart Drives are USB flash drives from SanDisk preloaded with smart applications that run directly from the drive. With smart applications such as Firefox and Skype installed, users can run these applications on Windows computer without installing and setting the applications up on the computer itself. According to the SanDisk website, it is possible for the file system on U3 flash drives to become corrupt or for other disk errors to occur. SanDisk provides two possible solutions for repairing a U3 Smart Drive that prompts an error message or is unresponsive when plugged into a computer. Instructions Repair File System on Drive that Prompts Error Message 1 Launch Windows Explorer by clicking on the "My Computer" or "Computer" icon on the desktop. Right-click on the drive letter for the U3 Smart Drive. 2 Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu that appears. 3.Click the "Tools" tab in the Properties window that opens and click "Check Now." 4 Check the check boxes next to "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" listed under Check Disk options. 5 Click "Start" to repair the file system on the U3 Smart Drive. Once the Check Disk procedures are complete, check to see of the drive is working properly. Repair Unresponsive Drive 6 Plug the U3 Smart Drive into a different Windows computer. If the drive works on the computer, proceed to the following steps. If the drive is unresponsive on other computers, it is malfunctioning and should be returned to SanDisk or the place of purchase. 7 Disable password protection on the U3 Smart Drive by clicking "Disable Security" in the U3 Launchpad window and entering your password to confirm. This may allow the drive to be accessed on the original computer. 8 Update the U3 Launchpad software. Click "Status & Settings" in the Launchpad window and choose "U3 Launchpad Settings" and "Check for Software Updates." Allow the system to check for updates and follow the provided steps to update the software if an update is found. 9 Eject the U3 Smart Drive by clicking on the "U3" icon in the system tray and selecting "Eject." 10 Plug the drive into the original computer to see if it's working. usb flash drive china cheap usb flash driveusb flash diskwholesale usb flash drivecheap usb flash driveusb flash drive factoryusb flash drive manufacturermanufacturer usb flash drive usb flash memoryusb flash memory for iphonechina usb drivepower bank wholesalesmart phone power bank wholesale

How to Save Emails to a Flash Drive
Email is an essential form of communication for many people in today's technology-driven world. It allows people to send and receive important messages instantly. One downfall of having your important documents in your email inbox is the inability to access them when you're not connected to the Internet. If you want to be able to read certain documents while offline, or just want to back up copies of important emails, save your messages on a USB flash drive. Instructions 1 Sign in to your email account with your username and password. 2 Open the email that you want to save to the flash drive. 3.Press the "Print Screen" button, usually abbreviated as "PrtSc." 4 Open your preferred word processing program, and choose the option to open a new document. 5 Click inside the top left-hand corner of the new document, and press "Ctrl+V." This will paste an image of the email inside the document. You can adjust the size by clicking on the edges of the image and dragging them with the mouse. 6 Save the document. You can do this on most word processing programs by clicking on "File" and selecting "Save." 7 Insert the flash drive into an open USB port on your computer. Click on "Open folder to view files" when the AutoPlay window appears. This ens a window that lists the contents of the flash drive. 8 Open the folder on your computer that contains your saved word-processing document file. Click on the file, and hold down the mouse button while you drag it to the flash drive's window. It may take a few seconds for the file to transfer over. 9 Click on the "Safely remove hardware" icon the lower-right corner of the system tray. Select the USB flash drive from the list of removable devices, and remove the drive when Windows notifies you that it is safe to do so. usb flash drive china cheap usb flash driveusb flash diskwholesale usb flash drivecheap usb flash driveusb flash drive factoryusb flash drive manufacturermanufacturer usb flash drive usb flash memoryusb flash memory for iphonechina usb drivepower bank wholesalesmart phone power bank wholesale
