How to Use Your bluetooth Cell Phone as a Covert Spy Bug

If you have a need to monitor a room remotely from anywhere in the world, here's how to do it with nothing more than your cell phone and optionally, a bluetooth headset.Instructions

I'm assuming that you would be an intermediate to experienced cell phone user for purposes of the "informational - only" how to.

First things first, pair your headset to the phone.

If you need to buy a head set, try ebay.com, amazon.com or google search. I would not recommend an expensive headset or phone in case you lose them.

2.Go to the settings menu, then call settings, and finally, headset settings. Your menu might be different, but you essentially want to enable "auto answer" on your handset.



When you call your phone when auto answer is on, then the cell phone picks up the line automatically without ringing or vibing, presumably, so that you wouldn't have to fumble around for the cell phone while it's ringing.

3.Place your cell phone in a discreet place somewhere in the room, or in the next room over. Place the headset discreetly near the source that you wish to hear, but less than 30 feet from the cell phone as that is the limitation of the range in bluetooth devices.

Now call your cell phone from anywhere in the world to listen in to the bluetooth headset!
Tips & Warnings
Best to use a cheap prepaid cell phone and inexpensive "ebay" headset. Nothing that you would be devastated to lose!

Also you should be aware that eavesdropping IS illegal, and this tutorial is for experimentation purposes ONLY and all parties have previously consented to the above experiment!

You will only have access to the remote cell phone as long as the battery in the phone and headset hold out!

Take the plastic cover off a 3-in-1 digital camera, but leave the lens in place. If the lens is held in place by the cover, save part of the case to position the lens at the proper length, and keep light out of the camera with a piece of aluminum foil. Disconnect the shutter button to expose the connection.

Strip both sides of two 4-foot sections of 30-gauge magnet wire. Solder one wire to each contact on the button.



Cut a hole in the baseball cap in an inconspicuous location like a seam or within the graphics. Make the hole big enough for the camera lens. Use a layer of hot glue to hold the hole open.

Glue the camera in place behind the hole with the hot glue gun. Make sure that the camera is right side up.

Run the wires from the shutter button around the inside of the hat band. Secure the wires in place with the hot glue gun. The wire will hang out the back of the hat. Use a Sharpie to color the wire so it blends with your hair.

Solder the far ends of the wires to a pressure switch.

Cover all electrical connections with dabs of hot glue. Test the camera.


Tips & Warnings
Purchase the pressure switch through a company that provides accessories for handicap people with accessibility issues. Position the pressure switch in your pocket or up your sleeve. Tape the extra wire out of sight.
